Easter

Easter weekend was an unusual weekend for us. We ended up going to Hodges, AL for part of the weekend due to Rory's grandfather dying earlier in the week. His funeral was on Friday, and we missed the church and base Easter Egg Hunts due to being out of town. However, we were able to attend FBC on Sunday for church. Rory and I helped out in the baby room during the 1st service, and I guess it was packed.

Russell was excited about his Easter basket, although he got up so late that he almost didn't have time to get it before church. He found it hidden behind his Veggietale poster. He didn't seem that excited about finally getting Madame Blueberry. He was happy about getting the Easter Carol book though.

We had Easter supper at the Ramsey's house with the Grosjeans and some other folks. The boys all dyed Easter eggs and then they went on an Easter Egg Hunt (for plastic eggs) in their backyard. The boys had a lot of fun, and they each had a surprise hidden in the yard as well (a small stuffed animal). The supper was delicious and consisted of lamb, fried turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, rolls, salad and dessert. My bran rolls and red velvet cross cake both got rave reviews.
